In short
No accounts, no cookies, no ads, no tracking. Your progress (stars, settings, own songs) is stored only in your browser and never leaves your device.

When you open the site
The server has to process your IP address briefly to deliver the page (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). No access logs with IP addresses are stored and no third-party services are used – no fonts, no analytics, no videos from other servers.
Microphone
For the tuner and chord recognition, the browser asks for the microphone. The sound is analysed only on your device, never recorded or transmitted. Exception: the sample-recording tool saves recordings only when you explicitly start it, and only on your device.
Storage in your browser
Stars, practice days, settings and own songs are kept in your browser’s local storage (technically necessary, § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete them at any time in your browser settings. For offline use, the browser also stores the app’s files.
Shared songs
When sharing, the song is stored in the address after the “#”. The browser never sends this part to the server.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. As no personal data is stored here, there is usually nothing to disclose – but feel free to ask.
